Mr. Richard Older, Mr. Dave Cramton and Mr. Don Safran head the company. Each person brings their own experience and perspective to the management team. In addition, Paul Lynch will serve as Executive Producer to oversee and consult on the project.
As a producer and marketing executive, Don Safran has overseen many films during the past two decades through his own company and in his 15 years as Executive Vice President at Rastar Production. Don most recently produced a new version of Neil Simon's "The Goodbye Girl," starring Jeff Daniels and Patricia Heaton, which aired on the TNT cable network in January 2004.
While an executive at Rastar, Don worked on a number of other Neil Simon films, including Biloxi Blues, Chapter Two and Seems Like Old Times. His other Rastar films as an executive include Steel Magnolias, starring Sally Field and Shirley MacLaine (Golden Globe winner and Oscar nomination); The Secret of My Success, starring Michael J. Fox (Golden Globe nominated), both directed by Herbert Ross; Peggy Sue Got Married, directed by Francis Ford Coppola (3 Oscar nominations and 2 Golden Globe nominations); Nothing in Common, starring Tom Hanks and Jackie Gleason, directed by Garry Marshall; Annie, starring Albert Finney (2 Oscar nominations and 3 Golden Globe nominations); The Electric Horseman, starring Robert Redford (1 Oscar nomination); The Toy, starring Jackie Gleason and Richard Pryor; Richard Pryor Live on Sunset Strip and Random Hearts, starring Harrison Ford , among many others, including the classic children's story, Harriet the Spy.
Don was Associate Executive Producer and writer on Blue Thunder for ABC-TV, wrote for Happy Days for ABC-TV and was writer of the feature, Homework, starring Joan Collins. He was Executive Producer of both ABC-TV film?s, Target Earth, and Alley Cats for the Disney Channel. Don also worked on the Golden Globe winning Barbarians at the Gate. Prior to the film business he was film critic and entertainment editor of the Dallas Times Herald.
Richard Older graduated from The Evergreen State College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in film production. While Richard was at Evergreen, he directed and produced the documentaries America Super-Sized: A Film on Obesity and Sex in America. As a member of the production team Revolving Muse, Richard also produced, co-wrote and co-directed on the short films, 2 Pizzas 12 Beers... and 6 Hours Later, Works Well With Others and Double Sided Rendezvous which was nominated as a finalist in the "Show Me Your Shorts" online short film competition ran by View Askew (Production Company for Clerks, Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back).
Dave Cramton is a graduate of the Vancouver Film School, and The Evergreen State College.
In addition to early work at Oppenheimer Camera, Seattle?s largest film camera rental house, Dave has worked as a PA, assistant camera, grip, key grip, gaffer, sound guy and Director of Photography on many projects. Notable highlights include being DP and Producer on Tammytown, a 16mm feature shot in and around Olympia, WA, currently under distribution through Indiepix.net, gaffing an HD feature MondoScooterama, currently in post production as well as many short films as producer, gaffer and DP, music videos for Barsuk Records and Kill Rock Stars records, and numerous corporate clients.
Currently Dave is the Video Producer at The Evergreen State College, where he teaches classes and workshops on cinematography and film production. Dave is also half of Inventive Pictures, (which includes recent examples of his work), a production company serving national and regional clients with full spectrum production services. Dave shoots, gaffs, and key-grips with his company and elsewhere whenever his wife and 9 year old daughter allow.
Paul Lynch has an extensive career in film and television. Paul has agreed to join the management team to oversee the production process and to assist first time feature director Richard Older. Paul has numerous credits as a director for various television series, including two Star Trek (?Next Generation? and ?Deep Space Nine?), The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone, (1980's re-incarnation), X/F: The Series, Poltergeist: The Legacy, Sliders, Robocop: The Series, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Lonesome Dove TV Series, In The Heat of the Night, Murder She Wrote and Moonlighting (which garnered a nomination by the Directors Guild of America Award).
Paul also has many theatrical and television film directing credits, such as The Keeper, starring Dennis Hopper; Murder by Night, starring Robert Urich and Michael Ironside; Flying starring Keanu Reeves; Prom Night, starring Leslie Nielsen and Jamie Lee Curtis; Frozen with Fear, starring Bo Derek and More to Love (Winner of Feature Film Award from New York International Independent Film & Video Festival). Paul also worked as the Executive Producer on the film American Nightmare.
